Service Description
FLOW Jade shares Ghosh Yoga inspired flow, a therapeutic practice for targeting specific muscles for the health of body & mind. Expect beginner flow sequences (with chances to add more for progressing students) and expect a few Ghosh's or Ashtanga' Sun Salutations & vinyasas, Warrior Salutes etc. (spine movements, up/down dogs, lunges, planks). These flows are not too speedy, the focus is more on the therapeutic intension of the postures rather than how flowy they are. Classes are for beginners & regulars, easy to follow and with healthy amounts of challenge to progress both body & mind in strength, relaxation & understanding. Classes are challenging enough that it never becomes easy but easier as the body changes shape & becomes stronger, there is always someplace new to work into. As we shift through effort & relaxation we also shift through our parasympathetic & sympathetic nervous systems, helping to quiet the mind and release stress and anxiety. Generally we'll flow one posture into the next at a steady pace to challenge body and mind. THERAPEUTICS What to expect: Yoga exercises help put joints and muscles through their full range of motion helping to improve coordination, balance, strength and flexibility. Specific muscle engagement/relaxation with easy follow cues A variety of targeted exercises (bayams) for strength and relaxation of muscles and nervous system Yoga exercises help put joints and muscles through their full range of motion A variety breathing exercises (pranayama) Grounding Improved Posture Jade shares Ghosh Yoga, a therapeutic, rejuvenating practice for the health of body & mind. exercises are brought together to work on a system of tension & release / effort & stillness. Classes are for beginners & regulars, easy to follow and with healthy amounts of challenge to progress both body & mind in strength, relaxation & understanding. Classes are challenging enough that it never becomes easy but easier as the body changes shape & becomes stronger, there is always someplace new to work into. As we shift through effort & relaxation we also shift through our parasympathetic & sympathetic nervous systems, helping to quiet the mind and release stress and anxiety. Generally we don't flow one posture into the next as many yoga practices do, instead we steadily practice a posture with full effort then stop, find calm & relax and prepare for the next posture.
